Kyle Jones has devoted much of his life to the study of ethnic percussion instruments, and to the underlying cultures and languages of their origins. He has studied with the world's foremost experts on many different types of drums, learning from Indian tabla masters and such well-known musicians as Elvin Jones and Terry Bozzio.
Kyle is an Emmy Award winner for composition and arranging, and has performed with Quincy Jones, Janet Jackson, Ricky Skaggs, and a host of other world class ensembles.
Along with his career in musical instruction, Kyle is also an avid writer and student of philosophy. He is a contributing writer for Jan Darpan, a regional publication on India and Indian lifestyle.
