Andrew Braley 2

Trombonist Andrew Braley is a highly skilled performer and educator from Macon, Georgia. In 2016 Andrew graduated from Mercer University with a bachelors degree in music education where he studied under Dr. Tom Gibson and Mrs. Hollie Pritchard. Furthermore, he performed in university ensembles including: Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Brass Quintet, Jazz Combo, and Trombone Ensemble. While in Macon, Andrew free lanced frequently around the middle Georgia and Atlanta area and has played with such groups as the Middle Georgia Big Band, the Georgia Brass Band, and the Parliament Brass Quintet. Throughout his music career he has taught private lessons with elementary, middle, and high school students in the Macon area. Additionally, Andrew worked as an assistant for Northside High School’s Band Program. He has recently moved to the Nashville area where he is excited to pursue his career in music.

Andrew’s career as a trombonist has included performances with many prestigious groups such as the 2012 Georgia Music Educators Association All College Band where he sat second chair as a freshman. In 2014, he was accepted in to the Sewanee Summer Festival where he studied under Dr. Babitt of Illinois State University. While at the festival, he performed under many conductors including JoAnn Falletta of the Buffalo philharmonic, Grammy nominated conductor Kenneth Kiesler, and many others. Additionally, he had the privilege of performing with acclaimed banjo player Bela Fleck. Andrew looks forward to developing young brass musicians in Nashville.
