"No one comes close to World Music Nashville!"
"What is there to say! I have purchased guitars and amps for over 40 years from NYC to LA purchasing hundreds of guitars and can honestly say that when my needs call for new, state of the art, cutting edge tools of the trade, no one comes close to World Music Nashville! They have dealt with me as a friend, not just a customer and have considered my needs first every time. I have never left feeling like I didn't get exactly what I wanted at a price I could more than live with. That's why I keep going back and I want to thank Larry, Lisa, John, Brandon, Dave, Patrick and the rest of the staff at World Music Nashville for taking care of me in a big way since day one!"

"My favorite Nashville music store by far"
World Music Nashville,
This is my favorite Nashville music store by far. Used gear, New gear, no matter what they sell they have always been helpful. I've bought 3 guitar amps 2 guitars and one bass from this store as well as a couple wireless. I've only had trouble with one product which they fixed onsite while I waited and it took less then 15 minutes. The staff is helpful but not pushy and when you walk the halls of the school you can really hear the quality of the lessons. I am an endorsed artist and could order my gear direct but still shop here because of the helpfulness of the staff. And it's nice to be remembered everytime you come in. When I'm on tour I'm always wearing my world music shirt so people know where I buy my stuff. Speaking of which I'll be in later this week for Bass strings as they have the best selection. I've been to every music store in the greater Nashville area but this is one where my friends actually have to pull me out by the hand because I get enamored not only by the quality of the instruments but the Uniqueness of their selection.
Keep up the good work

"the highest standard" for International or Local Customers
Greetings from Australia to the World Music Nashville Management and Staff.
I would like to thank you for the professional way in which you conduct your business. I was very fortunate to find a company like yours to deal with on the Net who was happy to provide information as requested with a genuine interest in my requirements. Communication and service from the time of my initial contact was of the highest standard and continued up to the time of delivery in Australia as well as a follow up to check that the instrument had arrived in good condition.
Staff member, Patrick, assisted me in my search for a special guitar and organized an excellent deal and all shipping requirements. The payment system was a breeze and I received my guitar, delivered to my front door, within one week from date of purchase. Thanks, Patrick.
As I am an overseas customer. I would like to recommend your company to any other potential buyers whether they are Interrnational or local residents.

"WMN is a very classy and impressive store that has a mom and pop feel"
Just wanted to say how nice it is to have finally found a music store that has a staff as cool as their gear! World Music Nashville is a very classy and impressive store that has a mom and pop feel with everything you would ever need whether you're a beginner, a musical enthusiast, or a seasoned-pro. In most music stores I feel bombarded by an undesirable atmosphere driven by ego and unfortunately high prices. My wife and I were impressed that Larry (the Owner) was hands on and you know after speaking with him and shaking his hand that his positive vibe sets the tone for the store. The staff was very knowledgeable and this place seems to have limitless resources as they have a top-notch educational staff that provides affordable lessons. I can't tell you how long I've been searching for a store like World Music Nashville-The exception not the rule. All of this and your prices are right! If you guys sold toilet paper I'd never go to Wal-Mart again. Thank you.Musician/Entertainer

".. my new Fat Lady. It is truly unbelievable!"
Re: Cole Clark FL3ACG Acoustic/Electric Guitar
To: Dave Johnson
Greetings Dave,
I finally got a chance to play my new Fat Lady. It is truly unbelievable! I own a couple of Martin's, a couple of Gibson's, along with some other great guitars, but nothing really comes close to the tremendous sound that comes out of that pickup system in the Cole Clark guitar. I really don't know how else to describe it. It is the sound that I have been searching for.

"Imagine a place that would talk you out of a sale because they're honest!"
The first thoughts that come to my mind when I think about World Music are, people, service, and product. I've known Larry and John from the time they first opened the store. I have bought just about all my equipment from World Music. Whether I need a cable, stand, guitar, or anything, I get the same attention and information no matter the cost. Sometimes I just get info, or a suggestion that I don't need a piece of gear I'm asking about because it would be a waste of my money. Imagine a place that would talk you out of a sale because they're honest!

"More about finding out my needs / not just trying to sell me something."
Quite a detailed look at World Music Nashville
" Re: PRS Mike Mushok Baritone
I have been playing this guitar quite a bit over the weekend. I have to admit in the store I wasn't that crazy about the sound through the Mesa\Boogie in the store but it had enough of the right features at the right price to "take a chance". Well, so far I have tried the guitar through 3 different amps (Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 201, Soldano Astroverb and Mesa\Boogie Studio Caliber DC-2) at home and the guitar sounds unbelievable through all three. I have to admit I tuned down to "A" and the sound as well as the playability is just killer!
What you (as a salesman) as well as what the store does "right":
I generally dislike shopping in music stores (especially Sam Ash and Guitar Center) and do most of my shopping on-line. Because of the distance to your store I have only been there a few times but I have always enjoyed the experience. The things I like about your store are:
* Salesmen at World Music generally ask what your name is early in the conversation.
* The store has always been very neat, the "presentation" is excellent and there is plenty of room - some stores feel very overcrowded.
* You were very attentive when setting up the amp asking me how I wanted the gain, bass and treble set. While we didn't achieve an optimum sound I still appreciated your asking for my taste in tone. I also appreciate that you didn't "run off" as soon as the amp was set-up.
* I have never felt "pressure" to buy anything anytime I have been in the store. The way any salesman has greeted me the times I come into the store has been more about finding out about my needs and not just trying to sell me something.
* When I mentioned the buzzing you went to set up the guitar. After you finished the set up you wanted to ensure that I was happy with the changes. When I noticed the D string did not have a smooth movement you offered to change the strings. This is excellent customer service and your "attitude" regarding this sequence of events was great. I felt like you really wanted me to be satisfied. I've been playing since 1975 and have dealt with a lot of stores over the years and few have this level of customer focus.
* The store seems to have an education focus - I attended a Johnny Hiland clinic a while back and it seems like lessons are an important part of the store - something some stores neglect.
I really appreciate all the above as it made purchasing the PRS a real pleasure. Feel free to pass these comments on to the owner or whoever would be appropriate. ...
... Sorry to be so long winded - once again I appreciate all you did yesterday with respect to the sale of the PRS Baritone guitar and look forward to finding out more about the Kustom amp."

"A journey through every music store in Nashville"
"it is my own personal opinion that World Music is the best guitar store in
Music City... and that is saying a lot for a guitar town like this."
How I Feel About World Music- By Billy Hell
My name is Jim T. Graham and I'm a guitar addict. I have played the guitar for 38 years and it appears to be the one constant throughout my life starting on a ranch in Texas, my rock and roll days in the 90's while living in Hollywood, and now my family years in Nashville. Is it the shape, the wood, the tone, the craftsmanship that makes them so alluring? I'm not sure, but I do know that there is nothing like a great guitar store to get me excited and help me step away from the world for an hour or so. I've been a probably to thousands of guitar stores. My first guitar store sold farm equipment in the front and guitars in the back. Maybe that set the tone for what a guitar store means to me, a family like setting where everyone knows who you were and just as excited about guitars as you are. I've also had my share of terrible experiences in guitar stores. I've experienced rude staff, walls of guitars that are out of tune and/or not set up at all, and sometimes just a bad "vibe" in general.
When my first real guitar, a 1976 Ovation, literally blew up on me I was on the hunt in Nashville for my next life long acoustic. This led me on a journey through every music store in Nashville. I learned a lot about the new breed of git boxes and even more about music stores. To my surprise the best music store in Nashville is literally 5 minutes from my house, World Music Nashville. The first thing I noticed was there the selection was vast and ranged from quality affordable guitars to high-end tone machines. The next thing that I noticed is that they were all in tune and set-up to perfection. I had never experienced a store like this.
Now I'm a picky guy. I'm not the kind to walk in, play a guitar and walk out with it. That means I spent a lot of time playing different brands and price ranges. The guys at World Music could not have been more accommodating. I felt totally at ease and not that usual feeling of being "on the clock" while trying out guitars. In fact I got to know the salesman on the floor and now know most by first name. That alone hooked me into World Music. What you can't see is that in the back is a guy named "Harvey". If you own a guitar or many guitars one day they are going to need a doctor. The fact that World Music has a guitar doc in the back doubles the value of the store to me. It's worth a lot that the guy working on my guitar is going to be there in the future and if already familiar with the guitar I'm bringing in. And he is just a friendly as all the other guys.
When I walk into a guitar store the first thing I do is scan the wall. I'm looking for what's new, what's on sale, what is unique and which guitar is calling out to me. World Music never lets me down. There is always something on that wall that grabs me. The fact that the sales people know me by name also makes the whole experience great. So it is my own personal opinion that World Music is the best guitar store in Music City... and that is saying a lot for a guitar town like this. Thanks to World Music and all the staff that make it the number one place I go when trying to get my guitar "fix".

"My love letter to you"
My love letter to you
Hey guys,
I just want to say how much you are appreciated by me and my family. You have been so kind and helpful to me over the years, helping me finally find the right tube amp with Harvey's magical Blues Junior mod. You have been so sweet to my 6-year old daughter by helping her find the right violin as she begins her own musical journey. You have also been an integral part of the worship music of my church, Good Shepherd Presbyterian, in helping us with our live sound equipment purchases. I'm sure many others will share how wonderful it is to have a community music store that is really plugged in (forgive the pun) to the community. I love seeing what new exclusive guitar and amp lines that Larry brings in to the shop and hope to have this opportunity for many years to come.

"I am glad that they don't site me for loitering ... because ..."
It has been a real thrill to take guitar lessons with my daughter for nearly two years now. The staff @ World Music Nashville is second to none and all are there to help. Larry & Lisa run a fun place to be and I am glad that they don't site me for loitering sometimes because I hang out during my daughter's lesson and at other times just because it has a relaxed atmosphere. Even though I will never play the Ryman, the folks at World Music are very supportive.

"He ... heads straight for the piano to practice what he learned"
My twelve year old son has been taking piano lessons at World Music for several months. He has learned so much in a short period of time. After the lesson he comes home and heads straight for the piano to practice what he learned. Everyone from his piano teacher to the staff members have been great. If I have to reschedule a lesson it is no problem, the staff helps me to find an open spot that will fit into our schedule. We feel so lucky to have found such a great place that is close to where we live. We plan on continuing piano lesson at World Music for a long time.

Gadow Guitars, American Series, "an incredible experience"
"Thank you so much for the Gadow. What an incredible instrument!!! As we had discussed, this was a gift for my husband's 60th birthday and what a gift it was. You helped me make his 60th a memorable one. As you had recommended, I had my husband contact Ryan Gadow to register the guitar. They spent about an hour on the phone talking about guitars and what not. What an incredible experience to be able to speak with the president of the company of the guitar you just bought! He's still on cloud 9.
I am 100% satisfied and am so happy to know that there are businesses on the internet that have such great personal communication."
